Kindness and Compassion

We understand that those who reach out to us are dealing with a serious problem—a life-changing injury; the loss of a loved one; diminished ability to work and support a family. And we know that first and foremost, these types of problems call for kindness and compassion. We take the time to listen intently and try our level best to understand the source and depth of the problem.

Investigation and Research

Once we have a basic understanding of the issues, we get to work. We gather evidence and we conduct research. We are thorough. If we believe there is a legal remedy, and it is cost-effective to seek that remedy, we will propose a contingent fee contract. This means our fee is a percentage of the recovery; there is no fee unless there is a recovery. If we are unable to accept a case, we will explain why, and we may be able to provide a referral to another attorney.

Personal Attention 

We do not assign file numbers to our cases. Our clients are not file numbers; they are real people with real-life problems. We never forget that. We limit our caseload so that we can devote to every client the time, attention, and energy necessary to bring his or her case to a successful conclusion.

Thorough Preparation for Trial

Insurers keep track of which lawyers are willing and able to take a case to trial. We prepare every case as if it will be tried in a courtroom. We understand that most clients prefer their cases to be resolved by settlement; that makes perfect sense. And we always attempt to settle cases before taking them to trial. But more and more often, we see insurance companies making unreasonably low settlement offers, basically daring the victim to try the case to a jury. When that happens, the victim’s case needs to be in the hands of a skilled and experienced trial lawyer. If the case is properly prepared and ready for trial, that increases the chance of a fair settlement offer. If a fair settlement offer never arrives, we take the case to trial. Either way, we work hard for our clients, we fight for our clients, and we get results.
